Resurrection Sunday
How we can apply Easter to our own lives regardless of your religious or spiritual beliefs
I have always loved Easter, holidays are my thing! My love of Easter has deepened in recent years, due to my own life experiences.
I believe the story of Easter transcends religion and spirituality. For me personally, I believe in God, Jesus, angels, etc. I also love tarot, candle magick, spells, deities, ghosts… all of it! However we can take all of that out of the equation. Regardless of if you follow a more traditional religion, or don’t believe in anything “spiritual,” let’s just look at the story itself. When we examine the events leading up to Easter Sunday, what do we see?
Betrayal, being misunderstood, isolation, judgement, and death. How many of us have experienced betrayal by those closest to us, being judged by people that don’t understand us, and feeling alone….like no one sees us. Have you gone through something so dark or difficult that you are no longer the same person you were before the tower collapsed?
I remember the moment I realized I was not the same person I used to be. Who was I? What now? Where does my life go from here? The collapse is over but now I’m standing in the rubble.
Easter reminds us, it’s not over! It’s a turning point. We can rise! We can rebuild! We can step into a new version of ourselves that holds more joy, more magick, and more authenticity! It is safe to hope again. We can align with and live the life of our dreams. Sometimes it is after the hardest chapters… those that force us to leave old versions of ourselves behind, that we truly find ourselves.
Easter and the resurrection, the Tower and the Star, the dawn after the darkness…..these are the essence of Harvest Moon Magic. We don’t avoid the dark and scary road. We travel the darkness guided by our own inner light.
On this beautiful resurrection Sunday, I invite you to reflect on your own life. Did you take the darkness from your hardest times and transmute it to light? If you are currently in a difficult season, I promise you there is so much beauty on the other side of the rubble. I hope you have chosen joy, and to keep your heart open. There is so much growth, expansion, and self empowerment that comes with mastering the dark seasons of life. Today is a celebration of rebirth and renewal, thank you Jesus!
Happy Easter to all who celebrate!
